steel pan maintenance

steel pan maintenance: I’ve been thinking about the pan festival last week and how much fun I had.  I’ve also had the opportunity to discuss the festival with all of my students who attended.  The music was great and the instructors were incredible, but the most talked-about aspect of the festival has been a session which was conducted from the pan tuner/builder perspective, with Glenn Rowsey and Darren Dyke.

Rowsey and Dyke presented beneficial instruction related to maintaining your instrument. They really emphasized how important it is to keep your instrument clean, and the best methods to do so, along with many tips about keeping your pan in top condition.  Mr. Dyke has put the notes from the session on his blog:

He has a great website with much helpful information.  Thanks, Darren!
